Nguyen:

To lock the keyboard and mouse:

If you are using X, you would use xlock(1).

If you are using a freedesktop (like Gnome), you would use xdg-screensaver(1) with the "lock" keyword.

If you are not using X, then maybe something like lockvc is the right tool.

I've been searching for a script that can lock the keyboard, mouse, and turn off the monitor every 50 minutes for 10 minutes.
It's easy to set up the crontab to execute hourly scripts. But I can't find the command or utility to lock the keyboard and mouse. For turning off the monitor, I found the command line:

$ xset dpms force off

Can you give me an hint?
Sorry to bother you with my poor English!
